The InnovationCanada.ca website requires the following environment:

Processor: 200 MHz (Recommended)
Screen setting: 1024 by 768 pixels
Web Browsers: Internet Explorer (5.0 and higher) or Netscape (6.01 and higher)
Plug-in: Flash MX
Video player: WMP 7+ or Quicktime 5+

It takes a long time to download the website pages. How can I speed up the process?

The time it takes to download may vary because of your computer, the transmission rate on your Internet connection, or the traffic on the Innovation Canada website. Although we recommend a 200 MHz processor, your Internet connection is the main speed factor.

To determine what the transmission rate is on your Internet connection, ask your Internet service provider. High-speed connections usually use ADSL lines or a cable and provide average rates of 150 Kbps or more. Telephone connections work at a maximum rate of 40 Kbps.

There are some areas—on the right-hand side of the screen, and at the bottom—that are not displayed. What can I do to be able to view them?

The InnovationCanada.ca site is optimized for a screen setting of 1024 by 768 pixels. To change the setting, do the following (Windows users only):
Click on the Start button in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
Click on Settings.
Click on Control Panel.
In the Control Panel box, click on the Display file or icon.
In the Display Properties box, click on the Settings tab.
In the Screen Area section, click on the cursor and drag it to the right until the 1024 by 768 pixels setting is displayed.
Exit by clicking on OK.
